Friends and Clothes (g)

"I like that idea!" She racked her brain for some spell but couldn't think of any. "Hopefully we have a free period that they don't. It'd give us more time." She wasn't sure what classes any of the guys were taking but she knew they'd be in similar ones.

Silvia nodded in agreement. "That would be helpful...but then, it doesn't seem like they go to their dorm on most of their free periods anyways," She added-the Marauders were more often outside or roaming the halls, often times pranking somebody else.

"I didn't think about that." She was glad that she had Silvia to help her with the planning since Joc was off with Remus again. "Now we just need to figure out what the prank will be." She paused. "Any ideas?"

Silvia pondered this for a few moments, wincing as the women working over her once again poked her leg with the needle. However, this time she shook her head at Kat. "A few, but none of them are any good. You have any?"

Kat noticed Silvia wince. "These needles are pretty sharp." She smirked and then felt her arm get poked. Stupid karma. Kat tried to think of an idea for a prank. After a couple of seconds she gave up thinking of one at that moment. "Can't think of one at this moment, but I know we will get an idea before school starts."

Silvia rolled her eyes at Kat's comment on the needles and objected, "It didn't really hurt-just surprised me." However, she let it go at that and nodded in agreement about thinking of pranks. "Of course-or maybe Joc has an idea," She suggested, remembering that she, too, was going to be helping with the prank war.

Kat smiled. "I forgot about Joc honestly. I'm not sure if she will be willing to help as much since Remus may get involved." She didn't want the prank war to mess up whatever Joc had with Remus because her best friend deserved to be happy.

Silvia tilted her head to the side in confusion. "I thought Remus was staying out of it, though?" She asked. But then she thought about that again, and figured his friends may convince him to join-after all, the group seemed quite close.

"He will probably try to but you know how James and Sirius get." She rolled her eyes. "If one Marauder does it they all tend to be involved by the end, well excluding Peter." Kat cringed as another needle poked her. "Can you believe we are seventh years this year?"

Silvia mereely nodded thoughtfully in agreement to that, though she thought that Peter tended to get involved as well. But that may just be how she saw things. So she let that slide and merely shook her head. "Not at all...It still feels like we should be fifth years, at least." She asnwered, rather wishing they were, with two more years left of school, which felt like an infinity, and the war not half as bad yet...

"I think I'd rather go back to third or fourth. No pressure of OWLs that way." She really was going to miss school, it was the one place that had always felt like home. "Too bad we can't just stay seventh years forever. We would never grow old and not have to prepare to fight in this war, even though we have already started to."

Silvia nodded in agreement. "Actually, I like the idea of not having OWLs more. How about we just be 14 forever?" She suggested with a grin. Of course, she didn't terribly mind fighting in the war-it was a good cause-but she did hate being against her twin, though they'd never been particularly close. But she was her only family left. Well, if you didn't count He-Who-must-Not-Be-Named, that is...which she'd rather not.

"Being fourteen sounds great, as long as all the guy drama stays out of the picture." She knew the fact that she was dating Sirius could cause some strain between her and Siliva, but she hoped it wouldn't. "I just wish that my family and I weren't on different sides of this war. I honestly don't think I can fight against Samuel even if it were a life or death situation."

SIlvia nodded. "Agreed. So we'll be fourteen forever, with no boy drama." She said as if this were final and it would just magically happen...which she rather wished it would. "And I agree-I don't want to wind up fighting Synthia either." She agreed. Of course, she knew this was stupid. Synthia didn't appear to have any trouble being against Silvia, but she couldn't help it. After all, there was a time when the two were friends...though it didn't last long.

Kat laughed. "So what shall we do now that we are forever fourteen?" She knew that it wasn't really possible but it felt nice to pretend and get away from the war torn world they lived in, even if only for a minute. "I wish everyone could just put aside their differences and live peacefully." She scoffed at herself. "As if that would ever happen though."

"Well, hey, we might as well make it happen since we're making ourselves infinitly fourteen without boy drama," Silvia said with a grin. "And then we can make it so that we never need new robes, also," Silvia added, motioning down at the long robe she had on and the women working over it.

"World peace and no new robes," she paused. "Sounds perfect." She sighed. If only life could really be that easy. At 14 her biggest problem was trying to avoid her brother and not go home unless she had to. "Maybe someday we can get a time turner and go back to that age."

Silvia nodded in agreement, her expression wistful for a moment. "And find some uber-powerful spells for the rest," She added jokingly. After all, it was highly unlikely that there was even one that even existed to make there be worl-peace. "Or we could just find a genei," She ammended with a grin. As far as she was aware, they didn't really exist, but she'd read plenty of fairy-tales about them as a child.

Kat smiled at her friend. "I'm sure we could figure out a spell. It might take more than a year though and by then who knows what the world will be like." Kat frowned at the thought of the future. If Voldemort had his way there would not be one for people like her, blood traitors. She let the depressing thoughts leave her mind. "What is this genie thing? " She had heard mention of them by her muggleborn classmates in the past but still didn't know what they exactly were.

Silvia's train of thought had very much followed Kat's at the mention of what the world would wind up being like. The sudden movement earned her another poke in the leg, and she winced and apologized to the women who was pinning her robes. She hoped she'd be done soon.
She returned her gaze back to Kat as she spoke again, and was relieved that she'd changed the subject. "They're..." Silvia said, trying to figure out how to describe a genie. "Well, they look kind of ghost like, I think, and hide in bottles and tea pots and things. And they grant the person who finds them three wishes. They come from muggle fairytales, I think."

Kat stared at Silvia trying to understand what she was describing. "Why would we need a genie? We can do magic ourselves." She tried to remember if Joc ever mentioned genies when they were younger.

"But genie's don't need to spend a year researching a spell- they can just...make things happen." Silvia explained. She couldn't help but laugh- it never failed to amuse her how little pure-bloods knew about muggles.

"Really? That seems so odd. They can just make anything happen?" Kat felt her face redden slightly as Silvia laughed. "Don't laugh. It's not my fault my parents literally chose my classes and refused to allow me to take muggle studies."

"I know," Silvia admitted, trying to suppress her laughter, though a bit of a smile remained. "But it always amuses me how little people from magical families know about the muggle world...I mean, even the things that seem like they should be obvious." She explained apologetically.

Kat could tell Silvia still wanted to laugh at her so she smiled. "I understand." She knew if the positions were switched she would be laughing too. "I feel the same way when talking to muggle-borns, especially when we were in first year and it was my first time around them."
