Margaret is the only child of Robert and Elizabeth. She was born into a muggle family and is the first to show any signs of magic. Through out her muggle school years she had many strange incidents occur when she was scared or upset and especially when she was mad. At the age of nine she could channel her power enough to create some sort of mayhem when she was really upset, such as exploding glasses. Her parents would make up excuses and tell her she was exaggerating. She never believed them and the incidents made her wish for a magical world she could be a part of. When she turned 11 she got that wish. She spent the summer before first year studying all of her books and learning as much as she could about the magical world. Her parents were surprised when she got her letter but quickly accepted it and support her completely. She spent the last six years at school keeping to herself mostly and learning to control her magic better.

Margaret sat in her room reading one of her favorite Shakespeare plays, Mac Beth. She liked the supernatural and wished it could happen in real life. She had odd things happen to her when she was upset or scared but her parents would always rationalize the situation and find a way to “explain” what happened.
“Maggie would you come downstairs, there is a letter for you here.” Her father called up to her. She looked at the page number she was on and carefully closed her book and placed it on the table beside her bed. She then hurried down the stairs and into the kitchen. She noticed a letter sitting on the table addressed to her. She opened and silently read it to herself, her smile widening the entire time.
“Mother, father, I’m a witch!” She yelled. Her parents looked at her with disbelief but that disappeared as soon as they read the letter. “I can’t believe it! I knew witches were real!” She jumped up and down with excitement, waiting for the person from school to arrive and explain everything better.
